We offer the following types of massage:
Osteomyology Massage (30-45 Minutes)
This is therapeutic massage, using a combination of the most effective
techniques tailor made into a treatment plan for each individual. The
main purpose of massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and
release toxins from the muscles.
Osteomyology massage is a holistic treatment; that is, a treatment for
the whole of the body, as well as the area being treated. This has short
and long term effects on the body, bringing about the process of
healing. It is one of the most effective and natural treatments for
stress related conditions.
Relaxing Massage (60 Minutes)
Swedish Massage was developed in the 1700’s by a Swedish doctor, and was
the first full system of therapeutic massage to be developed in the
west. It was developed to aid recovery from injury, to help remove
toxins form the body and to improve circulation. Swedish Massage is
probably the most practiced form of massage in the western world and
includes a range of different techniques to treat muscular tension. This
massage is performed slowly to promote relaxation.
Ayurvedic Massage (60
Minutes)
Ayurveda is thought to be the oldest system of holistic healthcare in
the world. It was first developed in India over 5000 years ago.
Ayurveda teaches that there are three primary life forces (doshas),
which are the primary forces behind all physical and emotional function.
When these doshas fall out of balance, ill health occurs.
Ayurvedic massage helps to re-balance imbalances in the doshas, which
helps promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Flowing
massage strokes and warm oils also make this massage very relaxing.
Treatment includes – Ayurvedic massage and Ayurvedic
tea.
Native American Spiritual Massage
(60 Minutes)
Harry's great grandfather was the last Onondaga Medicine man and he used
this massage on the sick and injured to aid healing. It was also used to
promote good health of men returning from hunting, to relax them and to
"bring back their spirit".
Prior to the massage, Indian Spiritual feathers are used to brush away
bad energy away from your body. The therapist then uses his forearms to
perform figure of eight massage strokes to help rebalance your body and
left and right brain hemispheres.
